The Wealth Management (WM) Analytics team is seeking an experienced analyst to become part of our analytic journey. The WM Analytics team assists the Wealth Management business in all their ventures ranging from service operations, trusts, self-directed, advised, to family office. 1. Partnership: It is crucial to be able to work in cross-functional teams as we collaborate with various CDAO (Chief Data Analytics Office) teams (like Marketing CXD, CAI) and other units that support WM. 2. Analytic Work: It includes everything from data reporting and dashboard development to advanced analytics. 3. Vertical Alignment: The analyst will be assigned to a business function within the WM to understand the daily challenges that the business faces. The candidate for this role will be responsible for identifying opportunities within the business and contributing to its growth and success. 4. Horizontal Alignment: The analyst will develop expertise in key areas of the WM business (like advice, asset consolidation, demand & capacity). The candidate will be considered an expert in these subjects for our team, CDAO and the rest of the organization. Core Responsibilities: 1. Engage with internal partners to understand business strategies, queries, and goals. Bring structure to business requests, translate requirements into an analytic project approach, and lead complex projects to completion. 2. Acquire and compile structured and unstructured data and verify its quality, accuracy, and reasonableness. 3. Perform analyses of historical data to surface trends and insights using advanced analytical methods. 4. Prepare and deliver expert-level visualizations and internal presentations to translate analytic insights into actionable solutions that business partners can implement. 5. Develop, own, and manage recurring analytic or reporting processes. 6. Develop the analytics community at Vanguard by mentoring, coaching, and connecting others with resources and training. 7. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: - Minimum of five years related work experience. - Undergraduate degree or equivalent training and experience. Graduate degree preferred. - Strong knowledge of advanced data analysis tools and software (Python, Tableau preferred), and querying languages (SQL).
