Safety Data Analyst AGS

Summary of Position:

Alcon is seeking to employ a Safety Data Analyst Specialist to become part of our Medical Safety team in Bangalore, India. The role includes providing safety data analysis support to the Global Medical Safety team, optimizing systems and tools for signal detection and evaluation, quantitative benefit-risk assessment, and other safety activities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as a technical data expert for Global Medical Safety
• Produce analytic outputs for risk assessments, safety reporting and signal detection
• Mastery of Tableau, Cognos, SQL Database, Oracle database, Business intelligence tools is a requirement
• Promote innovation by initiating and executing optimal solutions in partnership with stakeholders
• Collaborate with Global Medical Safety and other functions to provide training and support, ensuring continuous improvement of quantitative safety methods and related tools
• Stay up-to-date with new technology and data analysis methods by doing research
• Keep a record of existing data sources relevant to addressing the safety of Alcon products. Provide support as necessary for internal audits, regulatory authority inspections and project/product recall if needed.

Key Requirements/Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
• Professional experience (5+ years) in Data Analytics
• In-depth understanding of Tableau, Cognos, SQL Database, Oracle database, Business intelligence tools is required
• Experience in Data Management, Data Mapping, Data Pipeline and in Building processes

Shift Timings: 12PM to 9PM with slight flexibility

Preferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience:

• Mastery of Tableau, Cognos, SQL Database, Oracle database, Business intelligence tools is a requirement
