Responsibilities
As an AI Engineer Level 2, you will:
- Design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms to tackle complex business problems.
- Collaborate with product owners and domain experts to understand business challenges and devise suitable machine learning solutions.
- Analyze and preprocess large datasets to extract meaningful features and insights.
- Train, fine-tune, and validate machine learning models using techniques such as deep learning, reinforcement learning, or statistical modeling.
- Optimize machine learning models and work with MLOps/DevOps Engineers to deploy them into production systems.
- Monitor, evaluate, and improve model performance; implement model maintenance strategies.
- Work closely with Head of Departments, Team Leaders, and Software Engineers to build well-architected, cloud-hosted, and on-premises enterprise solutions.
- Collaborate with Product Managers, Technical Product Owners, Test Engineers, and DevOps Engineers to ensure high-standard feature delivery.
- Work with the Product Design Team to create optimal user experiences.
- Navigate the machine learning lifecycle, delivering solutions according to a published roadmap within planned release cycles.
- Contribute to defining and developing a Sprint backlog to meet Product team goals.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and fix software defects.
- Influence the Development Team’s practices and technology decisions.
- Create necessary documentation for work produced.
- Stay current with advancements in machine learning and relevant tools/frameworks to adopt best practices.
- Perform tasks with limited supervision, requiring substantial use of independent judgment.
Skills and Experience
We are seeking candidates with the following qualifications:
- At least 3 years of experience in an AI role.
- Proven track record as an AI Engineer or similar role, including developing and deploying machine learning models in real-world applications.
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or related languages with experience in libraries like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, deep learning architectures, and statistical modeling techniques.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-based machine learning model deployment. Experience with Jupyter Notebooks and AWS SageMaker is preferred.
- Strong understanding of ML Orchestration is advantageous.
- Proven ability to deliver technical features within an enterprise application.
- Experience with Source Control, preferably Git.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
- Understanding of Agile software development methodologies/frameworks such as Scrum.
- Experience in database development.
- Basic understanding of CI/CD tools, specifically Jenkins, SonarQube, Docker, JFrog.
- Experience in microservices architecture embraced in cloud-native applications.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment handling multiple projects simultaneously.
