Location and Flexibility

This role offers a hybrid working model, requiring presence in one of our offices in São Paulo (2 times/week or 8 days/month) or Porto Alegre (3 times/week or 12 days/month). Opportunity

We're seeking an experienced AI Engineer passionate about transforming AI research into effective solutions for our long-term client projects. As an AI Engineer, you will apply generative AI models to enhance digital products, making AI accessible in real-world contexts.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI solutions to resolve business problems using your software engineering and AI expertise.
• Collaborate with Data Science professionals specializing in machine learning and statistical modeling to tackle complex challenges.
• Implement and optimize AI components to meet high complexity and scale project needs.
• Utilize generative AI models, including large language models, to create tailored solutions.
• Adopt best practices including moderation, security, and compliance standards in AI solution development.
• Design, measure, and evaluate AI model outputs using standard and custom metrics aligned with business objectives.
• Translate AI research into production-ready features, ensuring robust integration with larger systems.
• Select and apply appropriate evaluation metrics ensuring robust, unbiased AI solutions meeting performance standards.

Qualifications

• Experience in applied AI, including machine learning, deep learning, NLP, LLMs, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to choose the right generative AI models for specific use cases.
• Experience with data embeddings, vector databases, and optimizing data ingestion.
• Experience in building and testing server-side platforms (e.g., TypeScript/Express, Java/Spring, Python/Django, C#/.NET, Ruby/Rails).
• Proficiency with CI/CD tools such as AWS CodeDeploy, Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.
• Hands-on experience deploying software on cloud platforms and using AI tools like AWS Bedrock and Azure AI Services.
• Skills in performance optimization and observability platforms.
• Proficiency in experiment tracking and complex AI integrations.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Skill in creating and adjusting prompts for complex AI systems.
• Familiarity with state-of-the-art methods for testing and evaluating AI systems.
• Strong collaboration skills with Data Science specialists for AI model development and fine-tuning.
