About the Role

As an AI Product Manager, you will drive the vision, strategy, and execution of AI-powered design experiences across Microsoft's extensive product portfolio. You will be instrumental in creating, launching, and enhancing products that utilize generative AI systems and models. This will enable users to generate, explore, and refine design ideas at scale. Your role will involve close collaboration with engineers, researchers, designers, marketers, and partners to deliver both innovative and impactful solutions that delight our customers and add significant business value.

Responsibilities

The AI Product Manager will:

• Develop strategies and roadmaps for specific product areas, aligning with our overarching vision.
• Lead product development from conceptualization to launch, ensuring a seamless process and high-quality outcomes.
• Forge significant partnerships across different teams at Microsoft to introduce new AI-driven experiences.
• Identify customer needs and market opportunities to craft detailed product requirements and specifications.
• Utilize customer feedback to iterate and enhance product offerings continuously.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet user expectations and achieve business objectives successfully.
• Set and monitor key performance indicators and success metrics, using data to drive better product decisions.
• Promote the potential of AI-powered design experiences both inside and outside of Microsoft.

Qualifications

Required:

• Bachelor’s Degree and 2+ years experience in product/project/program management or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of product management experience, with a proven record of delivering products from ideation through to launch.
• Experience with AI systems, particularly generative AI technologies like DALL-E, GPT, and Stable Diffusion.

Preferred:

• Strong understanding of the technical, ethical, and user experience aspects of generative AI systems.
• Curiosity and a proactive approach to learning about AI and its potential applications.
• Exceptional communication skills and the ability to drive consensus across diverse, distributed teams.
• Commitment to delivering high-quality products that fulfill both customer needs and business objectives.

Salary and Benefits

Salary ranges for the AI Product Manager position vary based on location. The typical base pay range across the U.S. is between USD $94,300 - $218,400 per year, with specific ranges applicable in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metropolitan Area.
