Role Overview

The ELL Accelerator team at Pearson stands at the forefront of educational technology, developing pioneering solutions in language learning and assessment using advanced tools like AI, ML, AR, and VR. Engaging in rapid creation cycles, our teams transform innovative concepts into reality by concentrating on experimental projects and MVP developments. As part of this dynamic group, we are seeking a forward-thinking AI Product Manager experienced in machine learning and AI-driven product development.

Primary Responsibilities

• Identify transformative applications of AI in language learning and assessments, pushing the boundaries of current technologies to new horizons.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers for rapid prototype development, targeting key user problems.
• Partner with engineers to construct technical proofs of concept, illustrating the new product's potential.
• Create detailed business and technical documentation to outline the innovations and substantiate the product's market fit.
• Lead competitive analysis and user research initiatives to continuously refine our product strategy in the language learning sector.
• Direct the innovation team ensuring synchronization and alignment on project goals.
• Continually integrate learnings from research and technical prototypes to guide and enhance Pearson’s product and technology roadmaps.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proven passion for innovation and a history of creating impactful user experiences with the latest technologies.
• Extensive experience in Product Management, with a significant focus on ML-driven SaaS or consumer applications.
• Competence in engaging with cross-functional teams to deliver products from concept to market launch.
• Robust experience in deploying ML features, encompassing everything from initial concept to post-launch adjustment and enhancement.
• Demonstrated ability to work closely with UX/UI design and ML engineering teams, providing actionable insights into product design and functionality.
• Hands-on experience with modern prototyping and product development tools, including design and AI platforms.

Preferred Additional Qualifications

• Background in assessment development or API Product Management enhances your candidacy.
• Familiarity with startup environments or corporate innovation lab projects is advantageous.
• Academic credentials in Computer Science, Data Science, Business, or Human-Computer Interaction are beneficial.

This position requires a time overlap of 4-5 hours with EST and BST for collaboration purposes.
