Role Overview

This pivotal role is based in our dynamic Seattle, Washington office, where you will have the chance to spearhead research initiatives that will directly influence the next generation of robotics technology.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead groundbreaking research and development on AI/ML algorithms that serves as backbones for our robotic solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed AI models and data pipelines into tangible robotic applications, ensuring scalable and robust results.
  • Document and share findings in premier journals and conferences, fostering knowledge within the academic and professional spheres.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, or relevant field with a robotics emphasis.
  • Deep understanding of multimodal modeling, contemporary ML architectures, and reinforcement learning.
  • Proficiency with deep learning frameworks like PyTorch, JAX, TensorFlow; CUDA or high-performance coding is a plus.
  • Proven ability to develop and implement research agendas.
  • Exceptional communication skills with a solid publication record.
  • Must possess and maintain US work authorization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with software/data engineering practices and tools.
  • Familiarity with robotics software and simulation frameworks.
  • Experience with experimental tooling, data pipelines, and workflow automation.
  • Knowledge of large-scale, distributed model training.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and a passion for innovation.
  • Capability to thrive in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

The position offers a competitive salary range of $170,000 - $190,000, plus equity and comprehensive benefits, based on experience and qualifications.
