Meta's Fundamental AI Research (FAIR) division is actively seeking talented Research Scientists to explore groundbreaking advancements in the field of AI. Our focus areas include vision-language models and general AI to develop contextually aware systems that will revolutionize our interaction with computers.

Role & Responsibilities

As a member of the FAIR team, you will:

• Develop algorithms leveraging cutting-edge machine learning and neural network methodologies.
• Define, build, and benchmark innovative capabilities for the next AI generation.
• Pursue ambitious long-term research goals with practical intermediate milestones.
• Enhance the science and technology behind intelligent machine creation.
• Enable learning across multiple data semantics, including images, videos, texts, and more.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
• PhD in Computer Vision, Language, Machine Learning, or related fields.
• At least 2 years of experience in academia, industry, or government labs focused on computer vision, language, and machine learning.
• Proven ability to solve complex issues and evaluate potential solutions.
• Effective communication skills, with a history of researching for public audiences.
• Must secure work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire and maintain it throughout the period of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

• First-author publications in recognized conferences like CVPR, ECCV, ICCV, NeurIPS, and SIGGRAPH.
• Over 4 years of related work experience.
