Your Role

As an AI Research Scientist at Vara, you will be instrumental in researching, developing, and deploying high-performance AI models for detecting breast cancer from mammographic images. This role is crucial in solving complex multi-view perception problems and ensuring AI safety to meet our high-performance standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Researching, training, evaluating, and certifying cutting-edge AI models for breast cancer detection.
• Integrating medical insights with AI technologies to tailor models that meet global needs.
• Validating AI model efficacy across diverse datasets to ensure robust performance.
• Developing methods for the automated monitoring of models in production environments.
• Collaborating with our talented team to achieve breakthroughs in healthcare AI.

Your Profile

Ideal candidates will have:

• A PhD in Computer Science, Physics, Maths, or a related field, with a focus on AI/ML, or equivalent practical experience.
• A demonstrated track record in ML research, preferably related to medical imagery.
• Expertise in deep learning technologies such as CNNs and Transformers.
• Experience handling real-world, large-scale datasets.
• Proficiency in engineering with Python, PyTorch/TensorFlow/Jax, and cloud platforms like GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• A passion for upholding scientific integrity in research and engineering.
