About the Opportunity

As part of our ML team, your work will focus on pushing the boundaries of automatic financial applications. By leveraging FactSet’s rich data assets, you will develop and implement state-of-the-art machine learning platforms and systems to influence business decisions and enhance product offerings in areas like natural language processing, information retrieval, and predictive analytics.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop Innovative Machine Learning Solutions: Tailor machine learning methods for intelligent financial information searching and analytics.
• Address Real-World Problems: Identify challenges suitable for AI/ML solutions and pioneer new techniques within the financial sector.
• Enhance Cloud, NLP, & LLM Integration: Craft and maintain robust AWS-based infrastructure for ML and AI solutions, focusing on Large Language Models integration.
• Ensure Software Engineering Excellence: Deliver well-tested, production-grade code and develop intuitive dashboards and visualizations.
• Lead Data-Driven Initiatives: Design and implement effective data pipelines handling both structured and unstructured financial data.

Minimum Requirements

Applicants should have at least 5 years of software engineering experience in production environments, with a solid foundation in:

• Cloud architecture, preferably AWS
• Natural Language Processing and Machine Learning techniques
• Proficiency in Python, Docker, and API development

Desirable Skills

• Experience with Large Language Models (OpenAI, Llama)
• Familiarity with deep learning libraries such as Keras, PyTorch, and TensorFlow
• Understanding of financial data and applications
• Knowledge of big data tools like Pyspark, Hive, and databases MongoDB, SQL, NoSQL
• Expertise in NLP with unstructured data processing using tools such as nltk, SpaCy

Educational Background

An MS degree in Machine Learning, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
