Job Description

The AI/ML Risk Management Lead Associate will be part of the Model Governance Solutions (MGS) team. The MGS team ensures consistency, compliance, and sustainability in first-level model management activities across the enterprise. The capabilities of the MGS team include:

  • Managing, updating, & maintaining enterprise's first line of defense model management procedures, templates, & working groups.
  • Overseeing first line model management regulatory response and support.
  • Conducting first line model management compliance reviews, reporting, & execution.
  • Delivering first line training & consultation related to model management lifecycle requirements.
  • Coordinating and representing the first line community concerning model management requirements and activities.

THE IMPACT YOU WILL MAKE
In the AI/ML Risk Management Lead Associate role, you will have the flexibility to make each day your own, working alongside a caring team to fulfil responsibilities including:

  • Implementing governance compliance tactics for artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
  • Being part of the team responsible for providing program management and oversight for first line AI/ML risk management.
  • Collaborating with team members and leadership to create content and facilitate AI council and working group meetings.
  • Cooperating with stakeholders and team members to ensure adherence to AI/ML regulatory guidance.
  • Working with the MGS team to ensure adherence to the enterprise AI/ML Risk Management Standard.
  • Collaborating with key stakeholders on identifying increased risks, controls, and value of prospective AI/ML use cases.
  • Working with Enterprise Architecture to create and maintain a comprehensive AI/ML use take intake process.
  • Preserving a thorough inventory of AI use cases, evidence of review and approval, and related documentation.
  • Collaborating with Model Risk Management and other functions (e.g., legal) on required review and effective challenge of new AI/ML use cases.
  • Teaming up with subject-matter-experts and strategic leaders to ensure the implementation of necessary control activities as dictated in the enterprise AI/ML strategy.
  • Working with internal stakeholders to create and deliver training content about AI/ML risk processes and controls.

Qualifications

Minimum Experiences

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • 4 years of risk management or governance experience 

Desired Experiences  

  • Ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of risk management experience with at least 1 year in model risk management with exposure to AI/ML.
  • Demonstrated ability for execution, strong prioritization, and planning skills
  • Relational skills to collaborate with team members and stakeholders as needed.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex processes for business understanding.

  • Relational management skills including engaging with stakeholders, customers, or building relational networks.
  • Maintaining updated knowledge of relevant industry and regulatory standards, best practices, and business processes used in model risk management.
  • Self-starter attitude.
  • Strong organizational skills
