Work Information

As an AI/ML Software Engineer Intern, you will engage in developing, researching, and utilizing AI/ML reusable models and ensembles. You'll be a crucial part of the AI Factory team within BKETC Software Engineering, responsible for developing foundational models. Your role demands excellent communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work proactively and autonomously in a diverse team.

Position Responsibilities

• Research and develop models and ensembles in Classification (Supervised and Unsupervised), Prediction, Fusion, Decision Making, Generative models
• Hands-on experience in AI/ML technologies
• Collaborate with Research leads and Chief AI Architects from Boeing Enterprise AI Center (BEAC)
• Work with Software Engineers in AI Foundations (MLOps and DataOps) and AI Innovations (Application development)

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)

• Undergraduate senior or higher (Class of 2024) in Computer Science, AI/ML Engineering, Software Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related fields
• Experience with software implementations and AI/ML technologies
• Proficiency in Pytorch, SciKit Learn, Tensorflow, and similar frameworks
• Experience in Classification (Supervised/Unsupervised), Decision Making (Reinforcement Learning), Prediction models, Generative AI models (LLMs)
• Proficiency in Python and the ability to learn new algorithms and models quickly
• Good problem-solving, communication, project, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)

• Experience with ML Ops and Data Ops
• Strong background in optimizing and validating models
• Familiarity with V&V test benches and Explainable AI (XAI) techniques
• Knowledge of ONNX (Open Neural Net Exchange)
• Ability to handle complex issues, communicate complicated information simply, and build trust through openness and consistency
