Key Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise in machine learning, with a specific passion for data-centric approaches.
• Experience with NLP and large language models like BERT, GPT, or Transformers.
• Proficiency in programming languages and deep learning frameworks such as Python, PyTorch, or Jax.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and strong communication skills.
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in developing and evaluating ML applications, with a proven track record in enhancing data quality.
• A history of publications in notable conferences like ACL, EMNLP, NeurIPS, ICML, or ICLR is beneficial.

Role Description

As an ML Engineer at Apple, you will contribute to developing solutions that considerably influence future Apple products and the ML ecosystem at large. You will:

• Participate in co-designing and co-developing data models.
• Design and implement data curation frameworks and robust model evaluation pipelines.
• Analyze data to understand its impact on model performance and contribute to various research topics, including:
  • Semi-supervised and self-supervised learning techniques.
  • Development of evaluation protocols that enhance end-user experiences.
  • Data selection techniques for various data types.
  • Employ statistical and ML methods to model data distributions effectively.

This role allows you to present your research at premier academic venues and directly contribute to the next generation of ML technology.

Education & Experience

Prospective candidates should hold a Ph.D. or MS degree in Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, Data Science, Statistics, or related fields.

Apple offers competitive salary ranges between $199,800.00 and $364,100.00, tailored to match your expertise and location.
