Your Role and Daily Responsibilities

As part of our Financial Advisory Service, specifically the Modelling and Value Advisory group, you'll tackle challenging quantitative and modelling issues for both Canadian and international clients. You will use your deep technical skills and access our global network to deliver professional advice, helping clients manage complex challenges confidently.

On a typical day, you might develop, validate, or review various models within Capital Markets and Market Risk, such as Financial Derivatives Pricing, VaR, and Counterparty Credit Risk, among others. Leveraging industry best practices, you'll also explore areas like credit modeling, forecasting, stress testing, and cutting-edge innovations such as Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence.

Ideal Candidate Profile

You are likely to succeed if you have:

  • 1 to 5 years of relevant experience in Capital Markets or Market Risk, with experience in model development or validation.
  • A strong academic background with a PhD or Masters in Mathematical Finance, Financial Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
  • Proficiency in financial product modeling and solid programming skills in Python, MATLAB, Visual Basic, C++, or C#.
  • An understanding of quantitative methodologies like VaR, FRTB, CCR, XVA, etc., is highly beneficial.

Total Rewards

Deloitte offers competitive salary ranges between $62,000 - $92,000 for Analysts and $75,000 - $113,000 for Senior Associates, with potential bonuses.
