Key Responsibilities

Collaborate: Work closely with data analysts, data engineers, and business stakeholders to fully understand and address data needs from start to finish.

Transform & Maintain: Use dbt for workflow management, data transformations, and ensuring data integrity throughout various stages of the data pipeline.

Develop: Create powerful dashboards and reports that inform strategic business decisions.

Ensure Quality: Implement data quality checks (e.g., Great Expectations, dbt, Python tests) and governance practices to uphold data integrity and compliance.

Innovate: Keep abreast of industry trends and continuously seek ways to enhance our data processes and solutions.

Document: Clearly outline data processes, models, and definitions to facilitate team knowledge sharing and consistency.

Requirements

Experience: At least 2 years in active roles within data teams.

Skill Set: A strong technical foundation with high proficiency in SQL, git, Python, and dbt is essential.

Tools Knowledge: Familiarity with data warehouses like PostgreSQL, Google BigQuery, and orchestration tools such as Airflow or dagster.

Data Visualization: Proficiency in tools like Metabase, PowerBI, or Looker, with a knack for presenting insightful, not just numerical, analyses.

Communication: Excellent skills in team interaction and conveying complex data in an understandable way to non-technical stakeholders.

Language: Fluent in German (C1+) and highly proficient in English (B2+).

Location: Based in Berlin, with weekly in-office team meetings.
