Job Description Operating as a part of the global Operations & Technology organization, the Data & Analytics team is focused on data and analytics strategies for the future. We support NBCU’s broad array of brands - comprising broadcast, cable, news, and sports networks to film studios, world-renowned theme parks, and a diverse collection of digital properties. We take pride in providing NBCUniversal with data to guide and shape strategic business decisions. We are seeking an enthusiastic Analytics Engineer who’s excited to construct the next iteration of visualization solutions while cooperating with internal stakeholders, data engineers, data scientists, and other technologists across one or more of our core subject areas. Qualifications We expect at least 3 years of progressive experience in visualization solution development and creation of data and analytics products, and at least 3 years of practice with SQL or other data discovery/analysis platforms in a role supporting everyday operations. Moreover, we require at least 3 years of work in a business-facing analytical role and a proven history of relevant success, as well as 3 years of experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau). Direct experience with data modeling, ETL/ELT development principles, Airflow Development, cloud development, and data warehousing concepts will be essential. Desired Characteristics Our ideal candidate will be skilled at storytelling with large, complicated datasets, and will have at least 2 years of experience working with Power BI and related Microsoft tech stack. Furthermore, robust experience in SQL, DB and ELT tools such as Snowflake, Tableau will be expected, as well as familiarity with cloud solutions and cloud storage (AWS S3, Azure Data Lake Storage). Interest in media including broadcast TV, digital, and mobile would be a plus, along with excellent communication skills and a highly proactive attitude. A strong understanding of Agile principles and best practices, and the capacity to handle ambiguity and make high-quality decisions fast will also be favored. The salary range for this role is between $75,000 - $100,000.
