About the Role

As an Applied Scientist in the AGI team, you will collaborate with experienced scientists and software engineers to enhance conversational assistants with advanced functionalities. Your role will include:

• Developing innovative solutions to complex problems.
• Researching and implementing novel algorithms and models.
• Analyzing customer behavior and defining metrics to gain actionable insights and improve customer experience.
• Communicating results and insights through reports, presentations, and external publications.

Key Responsibilities

As an Applied Scientist, your responsibilities include:

• Extending the functionalities of conversational assistants to support external tools and information sources.
• Developing new reasoning capabilities to enhance user interaction.

Work Locations

We are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations: Cambridge, GBR | London, GBR

Basic Qualifications

• PhD, or a Master’s degree with experience in Computer Science (CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Machine Learning (ML), or a related field.
• Experience in patents or publications in top-tier peer-reviewed conferences or journals.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, C++, or Python.
• Experience in areas including algorithms and data structures, parsing, numerical optimization, data mining, parallel and distributed computing, and high-performance computing.
• Experience in developing machine learning models for business applications.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Unix/Linux systems.
• Experience in professional software development.
