Position Overview: Area Sales Manager (d/f/m) – Roche Diabetes Care, Mumbai

As the Area Sales Manager based in Mumbai, your main goal is to drive our sales strategies and ensure the implementation of our promotional activities across the region. You will provide leadership and support to Territory Managers, ensuring every operation aligns with Roche’s high standards and operational guidelines.

Your Key Responsibilities:

Sales Promotion & Strategy Implementation:

  • Communicate and supervise the execution of the commercial promotion plan across your area.
  • Ensure monthly sales targets are met, evaluating both SKU-specific and overall value achievements.
  • Lead the execution and feedback process for marketing campaigns with your field team, ensuring timely completion.
  • Facilitate thorough product training and ensure features and benefits are effectively communicated.

Planning and Market Expansion:

  • Gather and report on competitor insights and market trends to aid strategic planning.
  • Identify and develop new market opportunities within your assigned area to enhance business prospects.
  • Guarantee comprehensive market coverage by your field sales team according to the set coverage plans.

Distribution Management:

  • Monitor and evaluate stockist performance, maintain compliance with defined KPIs.
  • Oversee the appointment of new stockists and manage distributor and retailer relationships.

Team and People Management:

  • Conduct monthly performance reviews, provide corrective actions and guidance as needed.
  • Organize regular team meetings to discuss strategies and performance improvements.
  • Identify training needs and coach team members to ensure excellence in execution.

Who You Are:

  • You have a bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of sales experience in the medical device or pharma industry, including a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.
  • A Master’s degree and a deep understanding of chronic care business & customers are preferred.
