Job Description As an Associate Vehicle Data Analyst in our manufacturing facility you will support vehicle content development through requirements, design, development and QA phase. You will gather information from vehicles, OE testers and bench mark tools (reverse engineering) and validate proof of concepts and development artifacts on bench and vehicle. WHAT YOU WILL DO: - Support vehicle content development through requirements, design, development and QA phase. - Gather information from vehicles, OE testers and bench mark tools (reverse engineering). - Validate proof of concepts and development artifacts on bench and vehicle. - Access and research new information from the web as well as information related to development of vehicle data, service instructions and manuals. - Identify and procure vehicles for analysis, development and validation. - Utilize oscilloscopes, automotive bus analyzers, diagnostic equipment, and gas analysis equipment to ensure the quality of Bosch products. - Utilize knowledge of vehicle mechanical fundamentals in order to validate designs. - Research and apply new technologies to improve the design process. Qualifications EXPERIENCE & BACKGROUND: - Associate Degree in Automotive Technology or equivalent training/experience required. - Minimum of 2 years data analysis experience required. - Knowledge of fundamental automotive technologies required. - Knowledge of basic vehicle systems including: on-board controls, engine performance, transmission, ABS, and/or SIR required. - ASE, IATN, or SAE certifications or affiliations preferred. - Skilled in the usage of automotive test equipment including scan tools, scopes, and DVOM. - PC application skills including Excel, Word, and Access. - PC configuration and installation skills. - Schematic reading skills. - Ability to effectively use general test equipment including oscilloscopes and bus analyzers as well as specialized tools such as: diagnostic equipment, and gas analysis equipment. - Ability to follow and understand detailed test procedures. - Demonstrated ability of being a self-starter. - Ability to read flow charts including process maps, test plans, and flows. - Ability to navigate the internet for research purposes.
