Position Summary:

As an Associate Data Engineer Intern, you will be an integral part of our Data Engineering/Technology team, focusing on building efficient ETL pipelines to support reporting and analytics initiatives. This role requires proficiency in SQL, familiarity with data warehouse concepts, and exposure to various data engineering technologies. A proactive attitude towards learning and professional growth is essential.

This is a hybrid position based out of our Dallas, TX office, requiring on-site attendance 1-2 days per week with occasional travel.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with business stakeholders and Senior Data Engineers to define data requirements and devise technical solutions.
• Conduct data studies and explore new or existing data sources.
• Optimize and troubleshoot existing stored procedures.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines from SQL Server to Snowflake DB and manage transformations and loads.
• Implement ETL processes using Prophecy DBT tool for facts and dimension table creation.
• Work alongside cross-functional teams to ensure scalable and reliable data solutions.
• Document all relevant data processes, including source-to-target mappings and data transformations.
• Engage in daily status meetings, design sessions, and code reviews.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• Experience with SQL, Python, or similar programming languages for data transformation and processing.
• Familiarity with ETL tools like Azure Data Factory, Notebook, SSIS, and more.
• Strong problem-solving skills for complex data issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a keen interest in learning and collaboration.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with Snowflake, SQL, SSRS, SSIS.
• Understanding of Azure data platforms and services.
