About the Data Retention and Destruction Team

The Data Retention and Destruction Team is dedicated to maintaining ongoing regulatory commitments, managing adherence to Firm records management processes, driving HR workstreams within the Firmwide resolution plan, and administering procedure document updates. We partner globally with various teams to understand processes and identify opportunities for improvements related to the handling and storage of records, as well as create frameworks and project materials, including performance and status metrics.

Role Overview

This role is crucial for risk management related to data retention & destruction. The ideal candidate will be a critical thinker with technical skills in SharePoint, database reporting, and/or Tableau. The position supports North America with a shift timing starting from 4 pm.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Records Management records remediation efforts for all areas of corporate and business-aligned HR teams.
  • Conduct and lead regularly scheduled calls, training sessions, and ad hoc working sessions with location stewards to provide support, awareness, and track program status.
  • Manage projects, maintain project plans, and drive process improvements in line with the Firmwide Global Data Risk Management policy and standards and Data Retention and Firmwide Destruction Procedure.
  • Accurately track progress, capture metrics, and create executive status reports for all levels of the organization.
  • Assist with updating and maintaining the team's SharePoint sites.
  • Document processes and procedures to provide written guidance to HR teams.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Global Team: Identifies and manages global interdependencies across all regions and geographies. Able to work under strict deadlines with flexible working hours, including support of global time zones.
  • Project Management: At least 1-2 years’ experience. Excellent time management and organizational skills to handle multiple projects and priorities in a matrix environment. Proactive self-starter able to respond quickly and effectively to rapidly changing business needs.
  • Communication: Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills. Able to prepare ad hoc management reports and presentations.
  • Interpersonal Skills: Proven track record of establishing strong, collaborative relationships with multiple stakeholders in various business areas. Has independently developed value-added business solutions.
  • Analytics: Highly effective analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making abilities. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment.
  • High tolerance for ambiguity paired with the desire to organize it.
  • Capability to see the big picture/strategy and lead others towards the desired end state.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and MS Teams.
  • Confidence and ability to work with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong sense of ownership and accountability.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred).
  • Data acumen.
  • Project management and process improvement expertise.
  • Knowledge of Records Management policies and systems.
  • Experience in compliance and/or controls.
