About the Role: BI Data Analyst

The purpose of the BI Data Analyst role is to analyze business requirements, define and develop reporting solutions, and ensure a superior user experience across various IT projects and business change programs.

We are looking for someone with a comprehensive understanding of data modeling, data engineering, and databases. Expertise in delivering data for reports and dashboards is essential, and familiarity with tools such as SAP Analytics Cloud, Power BI, and Tableau is highly desirable.

Experience with requirements management and testing methodologies is also necessary. Core application focus areas include SAC, Power BI, Snowflake, and Alteryx.

Key Responsibilities:

• Gather requirements to define business functional needs and report layouts.
• Develop wireframes and task flows based on user needs.
• Own the creation of requirements and design documentation for assigned projects.
• Communicate design ideas and prototypes to developers, finding creative solutions to UX problems.
• Collaborate with other technical developers and solution providers to ensure data is provided efficiently, supporting intuitive, user-friendly reports and dashboards.
• Engage in usability testing, gather feedback, and implement strategies to promote user adoption.
• Assist with unit testing of solutions and provide support and expertise through Systems Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:

• Experience in analyzing business functional requirements within major change programs and data analytics projects.
• Proficiency in data modeling and data engineering.
• Experience working in large teams, both inhouse and with third parties, to deliver solutions from requirements management through to delivery.
• Experience delivering user-friendly designs and solutions using BI tools like Power BI and SAC.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and a willingness to learn emerging technologies in the Data Analytics space.

Qualifications:

A degree or equivalent in computer science is required.
