Job Description

We are the Analytics domain team, helping financial institutions to easily adopt, use, and analyze data from our Avaloq products within a diverse ecosystem. We prioritize our colleagues, consider thinking differently an asset, and put customer experience at the forefront of our design thinking. Join us to drive interactions and collaborations with existing and potential clients through your business acumen and technical expertise.

Your Key Tasks

  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Software Engineers globally.
  • Implement Data Pipelines and Data Analytics - Big data exploration, extraction, processing, and ingestion into various SQL and NonSQL storage systems.
  • Design, develop, and maintain new and existing solutions within the team’s responsibility.
  • Improve and optimize existing functionalities.
  • Develop and maintain automated tests.
  • Take ownership and responsibility for your area of expertise.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery and efficient communication.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Computer Science, Physics, Engineering, Mathematics, or a comparable field.
  • At least 2-3 years of work experience in the fintech or financial sector.
  • Practical experience implementing container platforms, preferably OpenShift/Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with streaming technology like Kafka, Kafka Connect.
  • Analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills.
  • Competence in one or more programming and scripting languages.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English.
  • Experience in Big Data/Data Analytics productive environments using technologies like distributed SQL engines/file systems.
  • Experience in Stream Processing, Streaming Data, and Data Pipelines.

Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Distributed SQL engines.
  • Experience in implementing Microservices.
  • Hands-on experience with Snowflake.
  • Understanding of data visualization using software like Tableau, Qlik, PowerBI, Yellowfin.
  • Practical experience in Infrastructure as Code such as Terraform.
  • Knowledge of JavaScript and Python.
  • Work experience in Agile Scrum teams.
  • Expertise in data warehousing, modeling, and data management tools.
