You bring the following competencies to Applaudo:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is desirable or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of experience in designing and implementing big data solutions in cloud environments.
• Practical experience with distributed data systems.
• In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms, particularly related to big data services such as GCP BigQuery and AWS Redshift.
• Proven track record in optimizing big data solutions for performance and cost-efficiency.
• Awareness of data integration techniques and tools.
• Advanced proficiency in English.

You will be held responsible for the following tasks:

• Lead the design and deployment of cloud-based big data solutions.
• Work with stakeholders to identify data requirements and convert them into technical specifications.
• Ensure that data architectures align with business necessities and future scalability capabilities.
• Provide advice on the selection and use of big data tools and platforms.
• Pioneer continual improvements in data storage, processing, and optimization methodologies.
• Collaborate with data integration teams to ensure smooth data flow.
• Contribute to the company's overarching data strategy and roadmap.
• Guide and educate junior engineers and data professionals.
• Promote data best practices, endorsing data governance and quality.
• Assess and introduce new big data technologies and frameworks.
