Role Overview:

The Big Data-Hadoop/Scala Engineer plays a crucial role in overseeing and executing tasks across various areas of our bank’s IT Platform/Infrastructure. This includes involvement in analysis, development, and administration, with functional oversight in engineering delivery for specific departments.

Candidates will engage in:

• Building and planning engineering solutions that meet business objectives.
• Integrating solutions robustly into the existing business processes.
• Participating in global industry forums to adopt advanced technologies.

Key Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for designing and developing high-performance software applications, working alongside team leads and other crucial stakeholders to deliver quality software solutions. Key aspects of the role include:

• Independently managing tasks requiring minimal technical supervision.
• Contributing effectively to software design and problem-solving discussions.
• Participating in Agile and Scrum development processes.

Desired Skills and Experience:

Must Have:

• Proficiency in Hadoop & Scala technologies including Apache Spark & Hive.
• Experience in Java or Scala, preferably with understanding in Spring frameworks.
• Strong skills in build and deployment processes

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of cloud computing platforms like Azure, Kubernetes, or GCP.
• Familiarity with UI development frameworks like Angular or React.
