Business & Data Analyst Role for Leasing & Land Development (LLD)

We are seeking a Business & Data Analyst for Leasing & Land Development (LLD) to provide data-driven insights into our operational processes. This role is essential to advancing the LLD organization to its desired state. Reporting to the Business Architecture team, you will work at the intersection of people, processes, tools, and transformation. You will leverage a deep understanding of business data landscapes to identify opportunities and address key business questions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Clean, analyze, and visualize process telemetry and metrics to uncover insights and anomalies.
  • Conduct advanced analytics on business operations using tools like Excel, SQL, PowerBI, and Python.
  • Compile accurate, comprehensive reports for stakeholders on a timely basis.
  • Guide business leaders with confident, data-backed analytics and reporting.
  • Summarize and communicate data analysis assumptions and results clearly.
  • Support day-to-day operations with ad-hoc analysis.
  • Collaborate with diverse stakeholders to improve, adapt, and adopt processes and support systems.
  • Build and manage key relationships for the Business Architecture team, driving collaboration and alignment.
  • Maintain a holistic, multidimensional system architecture of our desired and as-is state.
  • Conduct value realization analysis for any transformation initiative, defining and measuring success.
  • Lead envisioning efforts for mid- and long-term data needs, providing clarity and organization for future states.
  • Embody Microsoft’s cultural values of respect, integrity, accountability, and inclusion.

Qualifications

Required

  • 2+ years of experience in cross-functional projects with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Analytics, Engineering, Computer Science, Marketing, Business, Economics, or related field AND 2+ years of experience in data analysis and reporting, business intelligence, or financial analysis OR equivalent experience.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Preferred

  • 3 years of experience in an operations-focused industry, with 2+ years in Business Intelligence roles.
  • High proficiency in verbal and written communication, interacting across multiple organizational levels.
  • Ability to define customer-focused outcomes, author business cases, and track value realization.
  • Creative problem-solving and analytical skills with a sense of urgency to develop solutions.
  • Previous experience in Data Center infrastructure is a plus.

Data Analytics IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $83,400 - $167,800 per year. For specific locations like the San Francisco Bay area and New York City, the base pay range is USD $108,900 - $183,000 per year.
