Business and Data Analyst Job Opportunity at PTTEP

Job Purpose

We are seeking a proficient Business and Data Analyst to join our team at PTTEP. As a data analytics expert, you will transform business needs into comprehensive data models, analytics, and business intelligence solutions. Your role will involve designing, building, and implementing BI solutions aimed at driving business performance.

Key Accountabilities

• Consolidate requirements from various business functions and create unified business data models within the data warehouse to meet business needs.
• Collaborate with Data Governance, Data Management, and Data Engineering teams to establish data warehouse models, and work with business users to develop data marts.
• Evaluate the effectiveness and accuracy of data sources and data gathering techniques.
• Apply expertise in business intelligence to develop customized and innovative solutions.
• Develop best practices for analytics and business intelligence solutions.
• Provide technical guidance on data architecture, data models, and data management in collaboration with the IT function and project leaders.
• Stay updated on the latest data and BI technologies.
• Design and develop BI solutions, including data models, data marts, data warehouses, reports, and dashboards.

Professional Knowledge & Experiences

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related IT field.
• Proficient in SQL and relational databases; knowledge of Google Cloud is a plus.
• Experience in ETL, data mart, data warehouse, and data modeling design.
• Abilities in BI visualization tools, such as PowerBI or TIBCO Spotfire, are advantageous.
• Experience in collaborating with Product Owners or Business users to understand business needs, define scope, and translate requirements into technical specifications.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• A drive to continuously learn.
• Good command of the English language.
• Preferably, experience and skills in project management.
• Knowledge of or experience in the oil and gas industry is a plus.
