Job Description: Business Data Analyst

As a Business Data Analyst at Granular Insurance, you will support the company's growth through reporting and visualization, business process review, system design, and implementation management. Responsibilities include analyzing healthcare data, reviewing business workflows, developing data reports and dashboards, and managing technical and operational projects throughout their life cycles.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze datasets to meet business needs, with a focus on claims, diagnosis, procedures, and payments.
  • Support data reporting and visualization, including requirements gathering, development, delivery, and maintenance.
  • Present report findings and gather data-related requirements from executive leadership and stakeholders.
  • Administer data systems across multiple platforms, including Google Cloud Platform, BigQuery, Salesforce, Google Workspace, and reporting applications.
  • Ensure alignment on new technology efforts via effective requirements gathering, communication, and change management processes.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Undergraduate degree (BA/BS) with 3+ years of experience in data management, data analysis, reporting, data visualization, systems analysis, and/or project management, preferably within health insurance or technology sectors.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills with a keen attention to detail and ability to build productive relationships at various stakeholder levels.
  • Proficiency in SQL and data visualization platforms (Looker, Tableau, Qlik), preferably in a cloud-based environment.
  • Strong understanding of technology, especially application development, workflow management, and enterprise architecture.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in building cloud-based software, managing ETL processes, and establishing data reporting workflows.
  • 3+ years of experience in data analysis, cleaning, modeling, and storytelling using SQL and Python.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience managing processes independently with minimal oversight.
  • Experience in coordinating and participating in cross-functional projects or implementations.

Compensation

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $100,000 - $120,000, plus bonus and benefits. Salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The displayed range represents the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Individual pay is determined by location, job-related skills, experience, and education/training.
