Role Summary: In the Chief Data Office (CDO) of Global Technology Solutions, State Street is dedicated to improving data health across the enterprise. We are excited to announce multiple initiatives and operational model changes aimed at enhancing value for both our internal and external clients.

We are in search of a highly skilled Business Data Analyst - Manager with a primary focus on data analysis, capable of delivering insights and storyboards through various analytic platforms. If you possess a rich background in data analytics, storytelling techniques, and are proficient in creating analytical data models from diverse data sources and structures, we want to hear from you!

Essential Job Functions:

You will:

• Perform Requirements Analysis for data projects, emphasizing data models at both source and target applications.
• Extract sample/export data from various source systems across different technical platforms using SQL queries/TOAD, etc.
• Analyze multiple data formats, document necessary transformations and controls to ensure data elements are fit for analytical data lakehouses or warehouses.
• Develop and recommend remediation strategies for data quality issues.
• Create user stories, business, and data procedures, source to target mappings, DQ rules, and related documentation for data products.
• Develop visualizations using tools such as PowerPoint, Excel, Tableau, PowerBI, and Looker to create business KPI dashboards and storyboards.
• Communicate proactively with data management team members, business users, and technical teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Efficiently deliver in a complex, deadline-oriented environment, managing multiple projects concurrently with minimal supervision.

Core Skills Required:

• Strong capability in Data Requirements Analysis from both structured and unstructured data sources.
• Expertise in at least one visualization tool like Tableau, PowerBI, or Looker.
• Robust SQL experience with advanced skills in database design, querying, stored procedures, etc.
• Excellent communication, articulation, and stakeholder management skills.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with data governance processes and tools such as Collibra is highly advantageous.

Work Schedule:

This position is on a hybrid schedule, allowing for flexibility to work both onsite and remotely.
