Business Data Analyst

Overview

We are in search of a seasoned and proactive business data analyst hungry for a challenge and unafraid to dive right in. You will be responsible for the creation of a data analysis tech stack from the ground up.

Cove is a startup featuring a compact tech team of highly skilled professionals. We anticipate that you will operate with minimal supervision and demonstrate a high degree of independence. Owing to the absence of concrete instructions, it's essential for you to define the task, understand rough requirements, identify problems, and independently discover solutions. Proactivity is crucial.

Requirements

1. A minimum of 3 years work experience as a Data Analyst or Business Data Analyst within a startup or rapidly changing environment;
2. Exceptional troubleshooting abilities;
3. Technical expertise in data models, database design development, data mining, and data segmenting techniques;
4. Sound knowledge of SQL and Excel. Familiarity with MongoDB is a plus;
5. Python. Knowledge of additional programming languages is an advantage;
6. Experience in the construction of data warehouses, and familiarity with tools like ClickHouse, Google BigQuery, Apache Spark, Apache Superset, Metabase, or equivalent;
7. Experience in data visualization and usage of BI tools;
8. Comfortable with Linux, Docker, CLI;
9. Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management or Statistics;
10. Proficiency in both written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

1. Supply the business with clear, comprehensive data reports and meaningful insights;
2. Design, build, and launch efficient processes that amalgamate data from diverse sources;
3. Identify and rectify data inconsistencies, and develop data quality controls. Be accountable for data cleanliness, correctness, and consistency;
4. Actively engage various stakeholders to obtain answers to data-related inquiries (operations, sales, finance, and tech teams).
