Milliman’s Health Research Team (HRT) is seeking a dynamic Business Analyst to work under the direct supervision of the Manager, Health Data Analytics. This critical role involves streamlining business operations and enhancing data analytics to advance the financial operations of the HRT. Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Collaborate with HRT professionals to develop and maintain reporting tools (e.g., dashboards) to track and summarize data.
- Support consulting practices by researching and addressing a wide variety of data and analytics questions.
- Enhance financial operations and create comprehensive reports.
Primary Duties
- Design, optimize, and maintain system processes.
- Identify and report on common technical issues or queries.
- Synthesize data into actionable insights.
- Provide informed recommendations to improve business operations.
Opportunities in This Role
In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
- Maintain and enhance current data sets, reports, and Excel workbooks utilizing technical expertise.
- Develop Business Intelligence (BI) reporting and dashboards using extensive claims and enrollment data.
- Engage with stakeholders and users to refine and develop new reporting models.
- Assist in resolving help desk support tickets related to data, reporting, and BI tools.
- Build meaningful and trusting relationships with business stakeholders by understanding their needs and providing informed recommendations.
- Communicate progress, status, and decisions regularly.

Required Qualifications
Professional
- Bachelor’s degree in Analytics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat.
- Ability to prepare, interpret, and analyze detailed printed and electronic data.

Compensation
The salary range for this role is $50,000 to $100,000, depending on various factors including education, relevant experience, qualifications, and skills.
