Job Purpose

This position is responsible for ensuring data management governance for Group Finance.

Job Responsibilities

• Creating and enforcing policies for effective data management
• Formulating techniques for quality data collection to ensure adequacy, accuracy, and legitimacy of data
• Devising and implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis; paying attention to all technical aspects
• Establishing data sharing rules and supporting others in the daily use of data systems
• Monitoring and analyzing information and data systems, troubleshooting data-related problems, and ensuring data security and integrity
• Analyzing financial data to identify trends and making recommendations to upper management
• Collaborating with other bank business divisions to develop and implement strategies for growth and profitability
• Assessing risk and identifying potential issues, implementing solutions to mitigate them

Qualifications

Formal Qualification:

• A bachelor’s degree in information systems, computer science, maths, finance, business, or a related field
• Formal data management qualification like DAMA

Experience:

• More than 3 years of Data Management experience
• 1-3 years of experience in Banking or Financial Services
• Strong financial knowledge

• Ability to translate complex problems clearly and in nontechnical terms
