Job Description: Business Data Manager - F/H

Located in Lyon, the Business Data Manager at Eurofins will spearhead data reliability strategies, manage data integrity, and enhance our Laboratory Information System's (LIS) data organization. This key role includes drafting operational procedures, implementing best practices, and serving as the liaison across various departments to optimize data utilization and ensure robust internal data management. You will lead a dedicated team of four, prioritizing data updates to support organizational needs effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to ensure data reliability and integrity.
• Ensure the quality, accessibility, and security of data systems.
• Design and implement data organization within the LIS alongside IT teams for efficient use across different contexts and for significant reporting developments.
• Create procedural documentation for data management and utilization.
• Deploy best practice guidelines and control mechanisms to maintain high data quality and integrity.
• Act as a pivotal interface between operational, IT, marketing, commercial, quality control, and financial management teams for internal data use.
• Implement monitoring tools, statistics, and consistency checks.
• Manage and prioritize internal data update requests based on urgency and importance.

Your Profile

An ideal candidate will have a master's degree in Engineering or Business with a specialization in Data Management or a related field, coupled with at least 5 years of experience in data management roles. Proficiency in database administration, statistics, and extensive experience with Excel are essential. Knowledge of LIS would be advantageous. Key personal attributes include excellent interpersonal skills, a strong customer service orientation, and well-developed organizational abilities.
