Job Description

Block’s People Analytics Team uncovers key insights that drive strategic and impactful decisions across our company. We are seeking a data-savvy and collaborative HR Business Intelligence Analyst to join our People Analytics Operations & Infrastructure team. This role will focus on managing and developing our HR analytics platform to ensure it delivers actionable insights for informed decision-making.

The ideal candidate will work closely with HR partners to understand their data needs, build custom reports and dashboards, and provide training on using the platform effectively. Your expertise in data visualization and clear communication will empower our leadership to make strategic decisions related to talent management, workforce planning, and organizational effectiveness.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Platform Development: Design, build, and maintain the HR analytics platform, ensuring data accuracy, reliability, and scalability.
  • Report & Dashboard Creation: Develop a variety of reports and dashboards that deliver meaningful insights on critical HR metrics.
  • Data Visualization: Utilize cutting-edge data visualization tools to present findings clearly and compellingly.
  • Partner Collaboration: Collaborate with HR partners to understand their data needs and offer tailored solutions.
  • Training & Support: Provide comprehensive training and support to the HR team on using the analytics platform.
  • Stay Current: Keep up with industry trends and best practices in HR analytics and data visualization.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Experience: A minimum of 2 years of experience in working with HR data and analytics platforms.
  • Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) and strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a passion for data.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present findings clearly and concisely.
  • In-depth understanding of HR functions, metrics, and needs.

Compensation

Block adopts a market-based approach to compensation, which may vary depending on your location. U.S. locations are divided into four zones based on a cost of labor index for the respective geographic area. The starting pay for the successful candidate will be determined based on job-related skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. These ranges are subject to future modifications:

  • Zone A: USD $111,700 - USD $167,500
  • Zone B: USD $103,800 - USD $155,800
  • Zone C: USD $98,200 - USD $147,400
  • Zone D: USD $89,400 - USD $134,000
