The Team The Data Engineering team is part of the Business Intelligence and Analytics team. They develop solutions that enhance business decisions by providing vital information to all sectors (Management, Finance, Sales, Risk, etc.) gleaned from both internal and external sources. The team is composed of highly skilled data and software engineers. They construct ETL Pipelines using diverse data sources, transforming and loading it to Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, Big Data & SQL databases. Data is then processed with computation jobs and prepared for application consumption of Data Visualizations. The Role Following Viva Wallet's European expansion, the company's reporting obligations have grown significantly. There is more need than ever to develop reporting mechanisms for all company sectors. The candidate will join the Data Engineering team to design, test, implement, present, and automate an array of reports. The team uses SQL Querying Language and tools to extract and transform data, forming reportable output files. Responsibilities: - Extract data from diverse Data Stores using mainly SQL syntax querying languages. - Analyse reporting requirements and extract data to form reports. - Design quality controls, monitor KPIs, and implement reconciliation mechanisms. - Collaborate with product/data development teams to plan new deliveries. - Develop documentation and provide supporting material. - Continually advance technical knowledge and skills. - Perform tasks efficiently and promptly. Requirements To be considered, you should have: - At least 2 years of experience in a similar position. - Proficiency in SQL querying language. - Exceptional analytical and proven problem-solving skills with a proactive attitude. - Ability to perform in a team environment and share knowledge. - Knowledge of agile methodologies and version control systems such as Git. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical degree. - Fluency in English, both verbal and written. The following will be advantageous: - Previous experience in PowerBI visualizations (or similar tool). - Programming skills (Python or similar). - Knowledge of any NoSQL database system. - Microsoft Certified Professional Certification of any level. - Experience in Cloud Computing & Cloud services (Azure, AWS), ML Patterns, and Algorithms.
