Purpose of the Role
The primary goal of the Business Intelligence Business Analyst III is to gather, analyze, and translate business users’ data and analytics requirements into actionable technical solutions within Capitec’s data ecosystem. This role involves producing comprehensive business requirements specifications and facilitating collaboration across product lines and support teams.
Education and Qualifications
Minimum Required: A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Systems.
Preferred: Certification in AWS Data Analytics Specialty or AWS Architecture.
Knowledge and Experience
Essential:
- Data Warehousing at an enterprise level
- Experience with cloud data estates (AWS, Azure)
- Understanding of Big Data cluster computing fundamentals
- Data Governance, Management, and protection
- Knowledge of financial systems and SDLC/DevOps
- Proficiency in SQL (PostgresSQL) for data analysis and conceptual data modeling
- Experience with software testing and quality assurance
- Minimum 7 years’ experience in information systems or business intelligence environments
- Proven ability in drafting Business Requirement Specifications and translating business needs
Desirable:
- Familiarity with banking systems and business models
- Experience in Agile development environments
- Knowledge of Amazon Redshift and advanced database design
- Relevant business analysis experience in finance/banking domains
