Amazon's Subscribe & Save program is in search of a skilled Business Intelligence Engineer who has a passion for utilizing data to shape the customer experience for a rapidly expanding consumer product subscription service. Our Subscribe & Save program, known for its convenience and savings, is popular amongst customers worldwide. We are expanding this program across different Amazon categories, technologies, and countries.
This position will focus on establishing top-tier processes for gathering, organizing, and presenting data to understand customer habits, measure feature performance, and accurately compute ROI across various marketing and business development channels. The ideal candidate must have familiarity and enjoyment in working with business intelligence tools, be at ease in accessing and handling data from a variety of sources and should be able to collaborate with internal stakeholders such as Product Managers, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to propel the business. This role necessitates the candidate to act as both a thought leader and a business owner, who can make business decisions for our customers.
Key Job Responsibilities
- Collect, assess and present actionable data and recommendations to direct marketing, business development and product management decisions at a senior level.
- Own, construct and automate the production of S&S business metrics using Tableau.
- Comprehend high-level business objectives and constantly align work to meet business needs.
- Examine and solve problems from their roots, stepping back to understand the broader context.
- Acknowledge and adopt best practices in data investigation and reporting: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and automation for self-service.
- Write high-quality code to collect and review data. Learn and comprehend a wide range of Amazon's data resources.

Basic Qualifications
- Over 10 years of professional or military experience.
- Over 5 years of SQL experience.
- Experience with programming to extract, transform, and clean large (multi-TB) data sets.
- Experience with the theory and practice of experiment design and statistical analysis of results.
- Familiarity with AWS technologies.
- Proficient in scripting for automation (e.g. Python) and advanced SQL skills.
- Experience with the theory and practice of information retrieval, data science, machine learning and data mining.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience of collaboration with business stakeholders to interpret between data and business requirements.
- Experience managing, analyzing, and communicating results to senior leadership.

Our compensation guidelines reflect the cost of labor across several US geographical markets. The base salary for this role ranges from $104,300/year in our lowest pay market to $202,800/year in our highest pay market. Pay is dependent on a multitude of factors, including location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon offers comprehensive compensation.
