The Business Intelligence Department is searching for a meticulous Business Intelligence Specialist who can transform raw data into actionable insights through reports, visualizations, and dashboards. Enjoy a flexible telecommuting schedule (3 days remote, 2 days on-site) as you provide the team with technical leadership and expertise on complex technical and business issues, and: 1. Collaborate with business units and project stakeholders to gather requirements and understand key objectives and KPIs. 2. Design and implement scalable data models and create actionable reports, visualizations, and dashboards. 3. Conduct comprehensive analysis using advanced querying and scripting languages. 4. Deliver intelligible and insightful advice based on analyses and subject-matter expertise. 5. Maintain and optimize existing BI solutions and foster a data-driven culture within the organization. 6. Lead work groups and serve as a specialist on complex technical and business matters. 7. Keep up to date with BI trends and technologies, ensuring the organization's BI stack is current. Competencies: 1. Expert Reporting and Analysis: Uses advanced querying and scripting languages to create reports and conduct meaningful analyses, addressing impactful business issues and delivering insightful takeaways. 2. Technical & Process Knowledge: Profound understanding of business KPIs, operations, and data systems. Expertise in data warehousing, ETL processes, and BI tools like Power BI and Excel. Skilled in predictive data analysis. 3. Data Modeling and Visualization: Designs efficient and scalable data models and creates interactive and revealing visualizations that provide business insight. 4. Communication/Collaboration: Works closely with project stakeholders to understand business operations, valuable objectives and KPIs, and translates complex data concepts into actionable business advice. 5. Leadership and Independence: Takes technical lead role for the work group and operates with a high level of independence. 6. Problem Solving/Agility: Adapts quickly to changing business needs and offers efficient BI solutions. 7. Project Management: Manages multiple BI projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery and quality. Requirements: Required Education, Training and Experience: - Bachelor's degree in business administration, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. - Skills in creating detailed reports and data-driven presentations for business needs. - 3 years of related experience without an equivalent combination of training and experience. Preferred Qualifications: - Master’s degree in mathematics, Business Administration, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, Statistics, or a related field. - DA-100 or PL-300 Certification - Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) - Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) The starting salary for this position is $79,881. The pay range for a Business Intelligence Specialist is $68,274 to $109,238.
