What You’ll Do

As a Cardiology Clinical Data Manager, you will be pivotal in driving our mission of impactful clinical care forward. Your role includes executing data curation steps for product development and managing accounts that utilize these products within the Tempus Next platform.

Expanding the Platform

In this position, you will lead a team of Data Abstractors who review clinical records, structure key data elements, and build clinical repositories that power the Tempus Next tools. Responsibilities include:

  • Executing Data Abstractor training
  • Monitoring throughput
  • Performing quality checks before data transitions to the next stakeholder
  • Drafting and maintaining all abstraction-related documentation, including SOPs and FDA protocols

Supporting the Platform

For Tempus Next account management, you will build and maintain relationships with lead physicians and associates from assigned health systems. With your team, you will ensure account configurations are correct and make necessary adjustments. Post site integration by the Connectivity team, you'll meet with site team members to address questions and confirm platform performance from a clinical standpoint.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with customers
  • Communicate with cross-functional teams including data science, project management, clinical team members, and engineering
  • Work with multiple data sources and formats to support data and report generation
  • Manage multiple project deadlines, typically handling 3-6 ongoing projects
  • Create and update SOPs to maintain abstraction guidelines and rules
  • Provide clear guidance on clinically complex questions from abstractors, escalating as necessary
  • Maintain high standards for data abstraction quality
  • Embrace a high level of individual accountability
  • Pursue personal and professional growth to enhance your skillset
  • Represent and embody Tempus company culture during all interactions

Required Skills

  • CTR, LPN, BSN, MSN, or substantial clinical data experience (preferred)
  • Clinical work experience preferred
  • Management experience strongly preferred
  • Data Quality Assurance (QA) or auditing experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with medical and genomic terminology, medical abbreviations, and pharmacy terms
  • Adeptness to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Google Suite (Gmail, Google Docs, Sheets, etc.)
  • Strong leadership abilities and willingness to work in an agile, expanding team
  • Proven multitasking and daily workload prioritization skills
  • Flexibility and adaptability
  • Experience in statistical analysis (preferred)
