Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Science Manager (Omnichannel Analytics) to join our Commercial Data Science team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with business partners, service owners, and Information Systems peers to develop predictive models and extract insights for our US Commercial Organization. Your contribution will significantly enhance our mission to serve patients by utilizing sophisticated analytics techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead measurement and tracking of various omnichannel Customer Experience (CX) enablement initiatives.
- Support the development of data science and machine learning prototypes, proofs of concepts, and models for testing various omnichannel strategies.
- Design and implement a framework for monitoring the performance of various campaigns and tactics on a granular level.
- Measure the impact of cross-channel campaigns and the overall omnichannel program.
- Identify business needs and propose potential analytics solutions.
- Communicate analysis ideas, progress, and results to leadership and business partners.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to derive insights that provide substantial business value to Amgen and our patients.
Note: This is a flexible commuter role to the Thousand Oaks office with 2-3 days on-site.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- Doctorate degree
- Master’s degree and 2 years of data science and/or analytics experience
- Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of data science and/or analytics experience
- Associate’s degree and 8 years of data science and/or analytics experience
- High school diploma / GED and 10 years of data science and/or analytics experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in campaign measurement, marketing analytics, and resource optimization in the pharma domain.
- Programming experience with Python, R, or SAS, and working knowledge of machine learning libraries like scikit-learn, MLib, or TensorFlow.
- Experience with large datasets and distributed computing tools (Spark, Hive, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills with excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Ability to collaborate and influence business partners and IS resources to complete analytic projects end-to-end.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting analysis clearly and practically.
- Passion for continuous learning and staying updated with the latest in advanced analytics.
- Biotech/Pharma experience is a plus.

Salary Range: $143,314.00 - $169,083.00 USD
