The Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) at JPMorgan Chase drives the firm's data and analytics journey, ensuring data quality, integrity, and security. The CDAO leverages data to generate insights and support decision-making, utilizing artificial intelligence and machine learning to develop new products, enhance productivity, and improve risk management. The Firmwide Chief Data Office (CDO) maximizes the global impact of data through several focused teams, including data strategy, data impact optimization, privacy, data governance, transformation, and talent.

Job Description

The Strategy and Execution team defines and implements the CDO vision and strategy, leading critical projects that equip Lines of Business and Corporate Functions with tools and solutions to manage AI-ready data and mitigate data risk effectively. As a Data Management Strategy Associate in the Firmwide Chief Data Office (CDO), you will develop a comprehensive data strategy to unlock value from data and lead strategic initiatives. This role involves creating actionable business plans to implement standards, adopt operating models, develop new products and platforms, promote a data-first culture, and drive governance.

Job Responsibilities

  • Define the CDO vision and target state strategy
  • Apply structured problem-solving and design thinking to top strategic priorities
  • Collect, synthesize, analyze, and present project data and findings
  • Conduct creative analyses to identify issues and formulate recommendations
  • Develop strategic presentations for internal and external audiences
  • Perform competitor/industry research using both public and non-public sources
  • Monitor industry trends and share insightful reports with the broader team and senior executives

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Diverse problem-solving experience, ideally from a premier management consulting firm, investment banking division, or strategy group
  • Exceptional ability to analyze problems using quantitative analytical approaches
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple deliverables under pressure
  • Strong communication skills (oral and written) and ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Strong interpersonal leadership and influencing skills
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Experience in the financial services industry
  • Experience within a data and/or analytics organization or specific strategy project experience in data/analytics
  • Technical knowledge of data management, big data platforms, or data architecture
  • MBA and/or advanced degree from a top-tier program
