Key Responsibilities

As a Platform Analytics Engineer at Maersk, you will:

• Utilize SQL or PySpark to extract and analyze data from database tables (e.g., Redshift, Azure) and build metrics.
• Develop and maintain datasets and dashboards for key business and platform metrics, capturing insights for business P&L and prioritization decisions.
• Create curated datasets for faster analysis by technical stakeholders with basic skills.
• Articulate findings from data analysis and identify any biases in the approach.
• Translate business problems from non-technical users into technical requirements.
• Effectively prioritize your work and communicate blockers promptly.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across different functions and teams to align on metric definitions, data sources, and data flow.

What You Bring

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, preferably Computer Science.
• At least 4 years of experience in Data Engineering or Business Intelligence, working with big data to solve business problems.
• A proven track record in product analytics and/or customer journey/behavioral analytics.
• Strong analytical skills supported by statistical knowledge from academic or work experience.
• Experience in developing and adopting state-of-the-art data and insights tools at the enterprise level.
• Proficiency in SQL or PySpark.
• Experience with Databricks ETL and Azure Databricks Notebooks.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills for effective communication of complex messages.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Independence, self-motivation, and a drive for continuous learning.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a modern, technology-driven company.
• Experience with ambiguous business problems.
