As a leader in our cloud transformation process, your passion for data, ability to mentor, and collaboration skills with business and technology leaders will be key. This role will challenge your technical skills and creativity in a fun and fast-paced environment.

You’ll closely collaborate with other technology and business teams to establish data solutions for analysis, modeling, designing, and market initiatives. Building rapport and credibility with product management, BI, software, and data development teams will be essential.

Hybrid Role: 3 days in office (Tuesday to Thursday)

Responsibilities

• Provide architectural expertise for technology solutions, data architectures, data warehouses, cloud, and infrastructure initiatives.
• Design and develop high-volume data ingestion components and ELT/ETL solutions from various internal and external sources.
• Participate in strategic and tactical planning and design sessions, conducting “whiteboard” sessions with product management, BI, data engineering, architects, operations, DevOps, and development teams.
• Ensure data quality and controls support various data ingestion inflows and outflows processes.
• Manage and use cloud data warehouse development and deployment tools such as ELT/ETL tools, data quality tools, query/reporting tools, OLAP, and data mining tools.
• Administer overall data warehouse strategy, architectures, security, data models, data marts, infrastructure components, software evaluation, performance, and data application design.
• Drive decision-making processes to align with business priorities and key architecture solutions.
• Research emerging technology trends, new models, vendor solutions, and market opportunities to identify potential industry disruptors.
• Develop/implement cloud infrastructure to support current and future business needs.

Requirements

• Technical BS degree in Computer Science or Math/Statistics (highly desired).
• Experience designing architectures for large volume real-time data streams and component services, with technologies like Big Data, Data Lakehouse, HADOOP, Redis, NOSQL, Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, etc.
• Knowledge of DevOps processes (including CI/CD) and Infrastructure as Code fundamentals (Terraform).
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure Data & Analytics IaaS, SaaS, and PaaS services including Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Databricks, Azure HDInsight + Spark, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Stream Analytics, and Azure SQL DB.
• MS Fabric and MS Purview knowledge are a huge plus.
• Experience exposing data to end-users via Power BI and Power BI Embedding.
• Experience with scaling and improving a variety of vendor and open-source technologies.
• Proven experience in agile data and development engineering methods.
• A track record of successful cloud data warehouse solutions delivery.
• Strong problem-solving abilities, routine decision-making, and after-hours support availability.
• Understanding of fault-tolerant architectures and high availability.
• Excellent communication and listening skills. Ability to interact effectively with development and infrastructure teams, business, and vendors, including training and mentoring of team members.

Preferred Experience:

• Knowledge of HIPAA and SOC2.
