The Role Are you an energetic and visionary Cloud Data Architect with the ambition to make a difference and play a pivotal role in shaping the future of CARET Cloud Data Analytics? Do you have hands-on management experience of cloud data technologies related to Data Analytics, Big Data, Data Warehouses, and Data Lakes? We want you to join our growing engineering team, where you will stimulate your creativity, strategic thinking, and technical skills to transform the management, storage, and analysis of data in the cloud. You'll work on creating a cloud data platform that will permit our customers and partners to have access to tools and technologies that use data in unprecedented ways to produce valuable insights into their businesses. Requirements - A Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related discipline. - Expertise and hands-on experience in both data and analytics technologies, as well as cloud-native data architecture design and best practices. - 7+ years experience in Data Engineering with advanced hands-on experience as a data architect or solution architect. - 7+ years experience in designing, developing, and maintaining data architecture, data models, and standards for various Data Integration & Data Warehousing projects. - 3+ years experience in implementing advanced Snowflake concepts, such as setting up resource monitors, RBAC controls, data sharing, virtual warehouse sizing, query performance tuning, Zero copy clone, and time travel. - 3+ years experience in people management is a plus. - Hands-on experience in Microsoft Azure or AWS. - Understanding of how to build data warehouses for data visualization and reporting tools such as PowerBI, using real-time or near-time synchronization. - Deep knowledge and solid experience with Microsoft Fabric components is a plus. - Hands-on experience with Snowflake utilities, such as SnowSQL, SnowPipe, and SlowAlert is a plus. The following certifications will be considered an advantage: - Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate. - Microsoft Certified: Azure AI Engineer Associate. - Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert. - Microsoft Certified: Data Analyst Associate (Power BI). - Snowflake Certified Professional. - SnowPro Certification. Responsibilities - Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance for software development teams, both onshore and offshore, on architecting, designing, building, documenting, and testing software solutions for the CARET platform and product offerings. - Collaborate extensively with our Product team to ensure a unified vision and ongoing improvements to the platform and products. - Drive engineering teams to incorporate secure data and analytics best practices and assist teams with data security architecture and design. - Guide engineering teams on optimal data architectures and ensure databases are optimized for data visualization tools. Create, publish, maintain and advocate for data warehouse patterns across the development and architecture community. - Be accountable for, manage, and execute the Data and Analytics technology roadmap, which comprises the data and analytics strategy, as well as the technical implementation of scalable data and analytics platform and product rollouts. Leadership Qualifications: - Results-oriented self-starter requiring limited or no supervision. - Exceptional interpersonal communication skills, both written and verbal, a great attention to detail, high level of organization, problem-solving and time management skills. - Strong remote team leadership and collaboration attributes. Ability to work independently and across multiple time zones. - An ownership mentality and entrepreneurial approach, including comfort with taking calculated risks and problem-solving skills. - Experience in managing data architecture governance software development practices. - Strong and demonstrable presentation skills. Confidence in communicating, enthusiasm, self-starting, and flexibility in style and approach are key.
