Job Description

As a Cloud Data Engineer, you will support both large enterprises and SMEs in their digital transformation efforts by implementing and overseeing data projects using Google Cloud Platform and associated open source solutions.

Embedded within a team of technical experts, your responsibilities will include:

• Client Needs Analysis: Understand and analyze client needs through workshops and consultations.
• Solution Recommendation: Propose targeted solutions and architectures.
• Deployment Methodologies: Define deployment methodologies and migration plans.
• Documentation: Write architecture documents and technical specifications.
• Data Architectures: Build data architectures ensuring resilience and security (e.g., data warehouses, data lakes, real-time systems).
• Data Pipelines: Develop and deploy ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Data Migration: Manage data migrations to new environments.
• Data Analysis: Analyze source data to identify and evaluate business use cases.
• Business Intelligence Tools: Implement BI and visualization tools (Looker, DataStudio, etc.).

Support and Training

Continuously stay updated on cloud solutions technology, and train client teams on cloud methods and concepts.

Qualifications

Graduated from an engineering school, you have significant experience in data projects including architecture, data processing, or analysis. You have managed a data project guiding a team of data engineers.

Minimum experience required: 3 years

• Proficiency in at least one programming language for data analysis (Scala, R, Python, Java).
• Strong skills in system architecture, databases, and analytical methodologies.
• Ability to navigate the expansive Data ecosystem and recommend appropriate components for various use cases.
• Interest in Business Intelligence, Big Data, IoT, and Machine Learning.
• Familiarity with Data tools from public Cloud Providers (Google Cloud Platform, Microsoft Azure, AWS, etc.) is a must.
• Solid understanding of both technical and functional aspects of IT projects.
• Curious, autonomous, and attentive, with a strong analytical mindset.
