Compliance Data Analyst Job Opportunity at Five Star Bank - California
Under the direction of the Director of Compliance Management, the Compliance Data Analyst plays a crucial role in supporting Five Star Bank’s Compliance Department. This position involves performing various compliance-related functions and ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
The Compliance Data Analyst will be responsible for the following:
- Processing and validating lending and other data to support the Bank’s reporting requirements under the Community Reinvestment Act (CRA).
- Managing CRA loan data reporting software (Centrax), including data input and report configuration.
- Handling the CRA community development database (Kadince), including data input and report configuration.
- Processing and validating loan application data under the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA) and Dodd-Frank Section 1071.
- Providing administrative oversight for the Bank’s cloud-based employee training application (BAI).
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Expertise in advanced Excel functions, including V Lookup, charting, and graphing.
- Ability to convert/extract data from Excel spreadsheets for internal and external reporting purposes.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness in job duties.
- Basic knowledge of banking regulations such as CRA, HMDA, and Fair Lending.
- Managing the Bank’s learning management system, BAI, and attending continuing education sessions as required.
Additional Responsibilities
The position also includes:
- Supporting Fair Lending data analysis.
- Assisting with Compliance Committee meetings and Compliance Monitoring.
Requirements
Required Experience
At least two years of experience in a compliance role within a financial institution, CRA experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
Travel
Primarily local travel during business days, with occasional out-of-area and overnight travel expected.
