Job Title: Computer Vision Research Scientist

Key Responsibilities:

As a Computer Vision Research Scientist at Meta, you will:

• Develop cutting-edge computer vision algorithms and software systems for tasks such as visual odometry and large-scale 3D reconstruction.
• Design and implement novel algorithms and techniques for building 3D maps and reconstructing 3D scenes at a scale suitable for Meta's global platform.
• Work collaboratively across multidisciplinary teams, contributing to innovative projects that combine both machine and human perception.
• Research and apply advanced geometric vision techniques to estimate camera positions, create depth maps, and generate meshes.
• Utilize modern computing environments (distributed clusters, multicore SMP, GPUs) to optimize machine learning and traditional algorithms.
• Propose and drive forward new features, technologies, and product roadmaps.
• Create and deliver high-quality, robust code in collaboration with the engineering team.

Minimum Qualifications:

Ideal candidates should possess:

• A Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Sciences, Mathematics, Physics, or a related field.
• Proven experience with geometric computer vision, camera tracking, and C++ programming.
• Experience applying computational photography techniques to solve real-world issues and leveraging AI algorithms in practical applications.
• Demonstrative ability to develop advanced algorithms for efficient 3D reconstruction.

Our Offer:

At Meta, we offer a competitive salary ranging from $245,588 to $290,180 per year, plus potential bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits. Your total compensation package will reflect your unique skills, qualifications, and background.
