Job Overview

The Senior Data Analyst will collect and analyze data from multiple sources (including payer claims, EMR, and other administrative and clinical data sources). The role involves developing reports, statistical information, and presenting data in the best format and design. You'll possess a deep understanding of the underlying business, prepare accurate business requirement specifications, and communicate project plans effectively.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze data from multiple sources.
• Develop reports and determine the best format and design for presenting statistical information.
• Create accurate business requirement specifications and project plans.
• Guide and participate in data quality reviews.
• Submit reports and provide recommendations to the requesting business unit.
• Support and assist the requesting business unit in interpreting analysis results and reports.
• Offer recommendations for further exploratory efforts based on deep data experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop solutions within available databases to meet specifications.
• Identify outliers and anomalies and illustrate outcomes.
• Build rapport with requestors and encourage question-asking.
• Establish reasonable project expectations and align wants to needs.
• Obtain comprehensive knowledge of available data sources within the organization.
• Automate data movement to support recurring analysis.
• Create dynamic report layouts with strong data visualization skills.
• Maintain project scope and interpret trends, patterns, and correlated variables.
• Serve as department liaison for service lines or focus groups, conducting customer outreach.
• Provide guidance and training to less experienced staff.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience: Minimum of five years' experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Frequent lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 0-25 lbs.
• Frequent sitting, standing, walking, reaching, and repetitive foot/leg and hand/arm movements.
• Frequent use of vision for distances near (20 inches or less) and far (20 feet or more) and to identify and distinguish colors.
• Frequent use of hearing and speech to share information through oral communication.
• Frequent keyboard use/data entry.
• Occasional bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and gripping.
• Ocassional lifting/carrying and pushing/pulling objects weighing 25-50 lbs.
• Rare climbing.
