The salary range for this position is $60,000.00 - $120,000.00. Compensation is determined by many factors, including the specific position, labor markets, educational background, work experience, and certifications. About Assets Protection

The Assets Protection (AP) team at Target ensures the safety and security of our guests, team members, and brand, even during crisis events. Our mission is to protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, and preventing, investigating, and resolving theft and fraud, ensuring our guests always find the products they need.

Role: Executive Team Leader - Assets Protection

This role provides meaningful experiences to build and enhance your career. As an Executive Team Leader for Assets Protection, you'll manage a safe and secure environment, respond to crises, and support both guests and team members. You will create and implement strategic AP goals, work on theft and fraud prevention, and manage internal and external investigations.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive total store sales by ensuring product availability
  • Enforce a safe and secure culture; lead crisis responses
  • Educate store leaders and teams on emergency procedures
  • Identify and mitigate shortage risks
  • Lead AP initiatives and training sessions
  • Act as a resource for AP team leaders in your market
  • Conduct internal interviews and resolve internal investigations
  • Develop proactive strategies to prevent theft and shortage
  • Anticipate staffing needs and recruit talent
  • Support onboarding and development of AP team leaders
  • Model and promote a safety culture
  • Respond to in-store incidents and emergencies
  • Ensure service excellence to meet guest needs
  • Champion diversity, equity, and inclusion

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Meet state or local licensure requirements
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Business acumen and cognitive skills
  • Ability to handle ambiguity and manage conflict
  • Adaptability to current technology needs
  • Independent task management and prioritization

Basic Requirements:

  • Access all areas of the building as necessary
  • Interpret instructions and information accurately
  • Apprehend according to company policy
  • Handle and move merchandise safely
  • Flexible work schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays
