Minimum Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- At least 6 years of experience as a technical sales engineer in a cloud computing environment.
- Proven experience engaging with both technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
- Fluent in English and Italian for effective communication in customer-facing roles.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Master’s degree in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience delivering technical presentations and demos.
- Familiarity with Developer Operations (DevOps) best practices, including CI/CD.
- Strong analytical skills to gather, debug, and resolve issues in live production systems.
- Advanced multitasking, prioritization, and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.

About the Role:

As a Customer Engineer specializing in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, you will join the ambitious Google Cloud Platform team. Our mission is to assist our customers in transforming their businesses through innovative technology built in the cloud. You will engage closely with technical sales teams, acting as a Machine Learning subject matter expert. Your role will focus on differentiating Google Cloud solutions to our customers by communicating technical features, aiding in architecture design, and addressing potential roadblocks. This position offers the unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge ML hardware like Google’s Tensor Processing Unit (TPU), influencing product development and customer solutions.

Responsibilities:

- Identify business opportunities and navigate through key technical challenges with customers.
- Provide deep machine learning expertise during customer interactions, including product and solution briefings, proof-of-concept work, and solution advocacy.
- Demonstrate Google Cloud product integrations in various customer and partner environments.
- Recommend comprehensive integration strategies and enterprise architectures to implement effective solutions on Google Cloud.
- Travel to client sites, conferences, and other events as necessary.
